Magic Crazy Bear was just about to turn seven,
and had always been in the most excellent health.
Suddenly, she stopped wanting to play frisbee, and then began to limp.
Eventually, after an initial misdiagnosis, she was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma,
- a very bad type of bone cancer (that can spread).
Very recently she lost her leg, to remove the primary tumor and save her from a quick end!
However, she would have to fight the rest of her life to keep the cancer from returning.
Every 21 days, exactly, for the next few months,
she had to have expensive chemotherapy agents and tests.
I [her human partner] had used-up the last of my money on the battle with the many veterinary bills, tests, medicines and operations, etc.
We were an Arctic 'Wolf'pack of two, and were inseparable!
We've had an unusually close and most unusual life together, and as the other's only 'significant other'.
Neither of us could have survived without the other.
We were so very much in love, and did everything as equals, and as one.
I worked, but it didn't even come close to making ends meet, after all my savings were gone, from the multi-thousand dollar medical battle.
We were 'winning the battle'..but...
